Structure is King

I was one, who would jump to draw the details a bit too soon, until I was given a critique once, on the NCN Forum by Roger Hurtado, who made me realize the mistake and the time lost by working on the details too early. I was advised to work on structure before shading or adding any details. Since then I have been focused on structure before details and can say that my drawings are improving. These are some rough thumbnail sketches I created recently.

I was lucky enough to have the chance to draw my wife's grandfather who recently left us. He was 84 years old and very much full of life. He will be missed but never forgotten.
