I was one, who would jump to draw the details a bit too soon, until I was given a critique once, on the NCN Forum by Roger Hurtado, who made me realize the mistake and the time lost by working on the details too early. I was advised to work on structure before shading or adding any details. Since then I have been focused on structure before details and can say that my drawings are improving. These are some rough thumbnail sketches I created recently.
